Handcrafted glass art
About Me
My journey as a hand-crafter and artisan began at an early age. Growing up, my mother, an art teacher, introduced me to the world of creativity through painting and sculpture classes she gave to children. I spent countless hours at my uncle Anibal’s ceramics atelier sculpting little figures, laying the foundation for a lifelong passion for handmade art.
By the age of 14, I was creating wire accessories and even writing with wire, which led me to start my first handmade crafts stall at 15. Over the years, I supported myself through different jobs—from restaurant waiter to photographer in mountain and sea adventure tours—but my heart always remained with crafting.
My fascination with glass began when a friend let me use his equipment to create tiny glass containers for grains of rice with customers’ names written on them. This experience opened my eyes to the incredible potential of glass as a medium, and I quickly became hooked.
The way glass flows, its challenging nature, the mesmerizing visual effects, and its unique balance of limitation and versatility captivated me completely. It felt like a trance, an immersive experience that drew me deeper into the craft.
Though I wasn’t influenced by other glass artists, I developed a deep love for exotic reactive colors, exploring their extraordinary possibilities in my creations. Sometimes, I even build my own tools—another source of joy that connects me with my work more intimately.
Since settling in Germany in 2006, I’ve dedicated myself full-time to lampworking and glass art. I regularly showcase and sell my creations at middle ages markets, including the Christmas market in Fulda, as well as various artists’ markets around Germany. While I occasionally incorporate other materials, glass remains my primary medium, and I continue to explore its expressive potential in my private studio, which is not open to the public.
Each piece I create is imbued with the care and passion of decades-long experience. I hope that when people see or wear my work, they feel a connection to the vibrant energy and transformative beauty that only glass can convey.
